Sonincare is a UK-based haircare and skincare brand rooted in the botanical care traditions of the Soninke people of Senegambia.

Founded in 2023, Sonincare honours what African botanicals already offer, combining their natural benefits with science and innovation to unlock their full potential.

For Sonincare, “African botanicals, refined by science” means transforming African botanicals into modern formulations that are effective, stable, affordable and enjoyable to use.

Raw cocoa butter, for example, is naturally rich and emollient. When thoughtfully combined with humectants, active ingredients and other functional ingredients, it can form part of a complete lotion that offers not only moisturisation, but also hydration and skin barrier support. Similarly, vetiver root water can be combined with surfactants and other functional ingredients to create a cleansing shampoo.

Sonincare was created with the intensive care needs of melanin-rich skin and kinky-coily hair in mind, but anybody whose skin or hair needs extra attention can benefit from our products.
